Job Week

Job Week is a showcase of the career resources provided by the AADS department to AFR majors.

What am I going to do after I graduate?

What kind of job can I get with an African and African Diaspora Studies degree?

Who can help me write my resume and cover letter?

Am I prepared for the work world?

Am I supposed to wear a suit to every interview?

If these are some of the questions you've asked yourself, consider participating in JOB WEEK, a series of events sponsored by the African and African Diaspora Studies (AADS) Department. The week will feature professional development workshops dedicated to helping you narrow down a career path and giving you the proper tools for the job hunt that is ahead of you.

The workshops provide information on how to write an effective resume and cover letter, dress for an interview, and market your liberal arts degree in Black Studies for any position.  On-site resume editing will also be provided.

Although this series is tailored for AADS majors, all students are invited to attend. Stay tuned for information on the upcoming Spring 2016 Job Week festivities!
