Lectures in Art and Diaspora: Asian in America presents Patty Chang

Artist Patty Chang works primarily in video, installation, and performance, creating works that confront the viewer with issues of fantasy and identity, including her most recent piece, Product of Love–Die Ware Liebe (2009), on the meeting, in Berlin, of Hollywood film actress Anna May Wong and German theorist Walter Benjamin.

Part of the series Lectures on Art and Diaspora: Asian in America, co-sponsored by the Blanton Museum of Art; the Center for Asian American Studies; the Institute for Historical Studies; and the Lectures on Art in the Black Diaspora in the Department of Art and Art History, College of Fine Arts.
