Joseph Russo Receives Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship

Graduate Student Joey Russo has been awarded the Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship for his dissertation, Texan Hard-Luck: Social Ecology in Southeast Texas' Golden Triangle. This fellowship supports a year of research and writing to help advanced graduate students in the humanities and related social sciences in the last year of PhD dissertation writing. A grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation supports this program.

The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) is a private, nonprofit federation of 74 national scholarly organizations, and its mission is to strengthen the relationships among them. They award fellowships, support scholarly conferences, reference works, and scholarly communication innovations.
