CMAS Accepting Applications to Master of Arts Degree Program

The Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) is accepting applications to the Master of Arts degree program in Mexican American Studies.
The objective of the Master of Arts degree program in Mexican American Studies is to prepare students for professional careers in which advanced knowledge about the Mexican American cultural practices, historical development, and socio-economic conditions is crucial. In addition, graduates are prepared to pursue doctoral work in a related discipline.
Applicants must meet the minimum requirements for graduate study at The University of Texas at Austin. An admissions committee composed of CMAS faculty affiliates evaluates all completed applications, giving preference to candidates who demonstrate a strong academic background and a very clear sense of their goals and preparation for the program and areas of interest in Mexican American studies.
All application materials must be submitted on-line by the application deadline. The application deadline is January 1, 2014 for admission for the fall semester 2014.
