28th Annual Landscape Ecology Meeting Comes to Austin
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center will be one of the local sites available for visiting during the landscape ecology meetings

Austin will be the site of the 28th annual meeting of the U.S. Regional Association of the International Association for Landscape Ecology. Talks, symposia, workshops, exhibits will be in the Sheraton Austin at the Capital. The meeting runs from Sunday, 14 April to Thursday, 18 April.

This year’s theme is “Landscape Dynamics along Environmental Gradients”.  Plenary speakers are Drs. Frederick Steiner, Glen MacDonald, and Maria Uriarte.

The attendees include landscape ecologists, landscape architects, geographers, foresters, environmental scientists, and planners. Volunteers helping to run the meeting are graduate and undergraduate students from UT’s Department of Geography & the Environment and The School of Biological Sciences.
