Our program offers long-term opportunities in Planning, Buying, and Executive Management. The program is based out of our Corporate Office where our associates experience tremendous career growth, and many take advantage of TJX’s growing domestic and global opportunities to work in our New York or Los Angeles buying offices, as well as our UK or Germany offices. TJX’s Merchandising Program is one of the best and most respected programs in the retail industry. It is a defined career path and teaches you how to run the business from behind the scenes and is the perfect fit for someone who wants to be a key business driver, make impactful decisions and see the results of everything you do.
The program starts with 8 weeks of training to prepare you to be an Allocation Analyst. You will learn how to analyze the numbers and reports while evaluating inventory levels, identify trends, and make decisions on where merchandise should be allocated. You will use your entrepreneurial, strategic, and problem solving skills as you think creatively to further drive your assigned business. As your career continues, you will pursue a career in either Planning or Buying.
Our Buyers are entrepreneurial and empowered to make the ultimate decisions on merchandise sold in our stores. They are global shoppers traveling to over 60 countries to build relationships and negotiate with more than 16,000 Vendors. They are intelligent risk-takers that are responsible for millions in revenue, and perform ongoing analysis to drive sales. As you further develop your skills, you will have a tremendous opportunity for growth into Executive Management.
