Start-up Labs are awarded to individual faculty members as part of a recruitment offer or counter-offer. Exact terms of the award are included in the Prior Approval Request (PAR) document.
Faculty awarded a LabSpace lab as part of their start-up or counter-offer will be responsible for submitting an annual survey about their lab activities. These results will be used by the Faculty Advisory Committee to review LabSpace assignments every four years. Reviewers will presume that Startup Lab assignments will continue under the original terms of the offer as long as the faculty member is research active.
