For the 2016-2018 catalog:

LIN 306: Introduction to the Study of Language

LIN 344K: Phonetics: The Production and Perception of Speech Sounds

LIN 345: Language Change and Language Variation

LIN 372K: Sound Patterns: From Sound to Word

LIN 372L: Syntax and Semantics: The Structure and Meaning of Utterances

An additional 12 hours of  linguistics courses of your choosing, 9 of the hours upper division.

An additional 9 hours of  upper division linguistics courses of your choosing.

In general, the minor requirement for these catalogs consists of 12 hours in another field, 6 of the hours upper division and 6 in residence.  Students may also use a complete lower division language sequence for their minor if they declare a  minor in a language other than that used for their Liberal Arts language requirement.  The minor must include 12 hours, 6 of those in residence.
