In response to the decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA), we at LLILAS Benson affirm our support for immigrant students, scholars, workers, and their families, all of whom contribute in immeasurable ways to our society, and whose lives and labor, aspirations and dreams, are inextricably interwoven with those of their US-born peers.

Prominent Human Rights Lawyer Is Tinker Visiting Professor

Felipe González, a specialist in international human rights law, will be a Tinker Visiting Professor at LLILAS this fall. González is professor of international and constitutional law at Diego Portales University in Santiago, Chile. He has served on the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, and will begin an appointment as UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Migrants on August 1.
