Programming & Co-sponsorships

The Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) facilitates all public programming in Latino Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. This includes the Department of Mexican American and Latina/o Studies (MALS) and the Latino Research Initiative (LRI).

We offer an extensive programming calendar that enables the University and the community at-large to learn more about the Mexican American and Latina/o experience in the United States and beyond. This programming calendar includes events or functions hosted by CMAS, MALS, or the LRI, those organized by other campus units, and activities that take place in the community.

Visit the following CMAS web site for more information about our programming.

If you or your organization would like to seek a co-sponsorship from MALS, please e-mail Luis Guevara at lvg@austin.utexas.edu, with the following information:

  1. Public Programming Co-sponsorship Form
  2. Preliminary budget for the event or function
MALS faculty can propose support for conferences, symposia, or lectures and should contact Luis Guevara directly.
