Briana Toole, a graduate student in the department of philosophy, has been selected as the recipient of the 2017 Pal – Make a Difference Award. The award is presented annually to a student at UT Austin whose individual program or initiative has made a significant contribution to campus life or the broader community. Briana was selected for serving as the founder and director of Corrupt the Youth, an outreach program that brings philosophy to high school students. Corrupt the Youth is in its second year of operation in Austin, and has recently expanded to Los Angeles. You can learn more at CorruptTheYouth.org.
