Wadham College, Oxford
Wadham College, Oxford

The UT Oxford English Summer Program is a combination of classes and field trips, the program is based at Wadham College and takes place during UT's second summer session, offering upper division English courses for UT credit.

This year, students will take one or two courses from the following offerings:
After Empire: New British Voices, 1948-2012     Professor Brian Doherty
Jane Austen    Professor Lance Bertelsen
Shakespeare      Professor John Rumrich

Program runs:  July 7 - August 11, 2012

All field trips (to London, Chawton, Bath, etc.) and theatrical performances (at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre in Stratford, the Globe in London, and elsewhere) are open to all students regardless of which courses they take.  This program is a wonderful balance of academics and fun, an opportunity to get to know Department of English faculty and other students outside the classroom, and a chance to live in an early 17th-century college in modern Oxford.

All Plan II students who will have completed E603AB by the end of spring semester 2012 are eligible.  Scholarships are available.
For further information please contact, Andrea Giachetti, Program Coordinator, 512 471 5736; or Lance Bertelsen, Director.
