Humanity in Action (HIA) is a New York-based not-for-profit organization founded in 1998. HIA believes that an important test of a genuine democracy is how it treats its racial, ethnic, and religious minorities. It also believes that the commitment to democratic values and the protection of minorities cannot be taken for granted in the United States and Europe. HIA provides fellows with a common educational background, experience working with peers across the Atlantic, and access to a network of board members and experts for lifelong guidance and support. Through core summer programs, Senior Fellows networks, and prestigious national and international internship opportunities, HIA encourages fellows to become global leaders. Complete information about HIA and the full range of our programs can be found on our website
