Plan II Distinguished Graduates:
Plan II Honors recognizes outstanding academic achievement coupled with strong dedication and services to their fellow students, the Plan II program and our UT and Austin communities.
Dean's Distinguished Graduates, College of Liberal Arts:
Each year, the College of Liberal Arts honors 12 seniors with the Dean's Distinguished Graduate Award for their leadership, scholarly achievements and service to the community.
Travis Cosban (Plan II/Pre-Med)
Travis recently spent half a year studying abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he completed advanced coursework at the city's largest medical school while working at the public hospital as a full-time medical intern. After three years of working for Camp John Marc, a camp for children with terminal and chronic illnesses and physical disabilities, Travis was inspired to write his thesis, "Increasing Accessibility of Wildlife Education for the Sensorially Impaired."
Daniel Dawer (Plan II/English)
Daniel traveled to Dublin, Ireland, to conduct research for his thesis on urban geography in James Joyce's "Ulysses." He taught English for two summers with the Breakthrough Collaborative in Santa Fe, N.M., and currently tutors and mentors students at KIPP, a local charter school. After graduation, he will pursue a master of arts in teaching and teach English.
Dhananjay Jagannathan (Plan II/Philosophy/Classics)
Dhananjay was born in India and lived in Jamaica before coming to the United States at the age of nine. Fascinated by ancient Greek literature and philosophy, he is also a passionate advocate for education reform. He will attend Oxford University in the fall as a Marshall Scholar.
Anjali Mohan (Plan II/Government/Economics) Anjali is president of the UT Orange Jackets and is involved in Longhorns Speak, Texas Union Events Co-Sponsorship Committee and Best Buddies. She has worked on social justice issues in Texas, Nicaragua, and Argentina. Anjali is working on a government thesis and plans to attend law school.
Hannah Bloch-Wehba (Plan II/History)
Hannah is completing her thesis on post-Cold War executive war powers. She has served as the editor of the university literary magazine, taught English and math in Mumbai and developed a tutoring program at KIPP, a local charter school. After graduation, Hannah plans to study international relations in Germany.
