Julie Maslowsky Wins NIH Career Development Award
Julie Maslowsky wins NIH Career Development Award.

PRC faculty research associate Julie Maslowsky has won a five-year National Institutes of Health Career Development Award entitled “Demography, health, and contraceptive use of repeat teenage mothers.”

The research will help to reduce unplanned births to teenage mothers by providing a detailed description of the population of teenage mothers who have more than one birth, their contraceptive use, and the processes by which they choose contraceptives. This information can be directly applied by health care professionals and policymakers in the design and implementation of programs offering effective contraception to prevent unintended births to teenage mothers.

Congratulations!
