Advising and Degree Requirements

Advising

Your advisor provides information about the degree plan, course descriptions, possible careers, and internships; assists in the add/drop process; and offers one-on-one counseling in academic and related issues. The office is open year-round, and all it takes is a phone call a day or two ahead of time to order an advising audit and set up an appointment. We encourage you to visit your advisor regularly. Walk-ins are welcome in the afternoon, or email the advisor for an appointment.

Advising is required for students new to the major, on scholastic probation, or with 90 or more hours of completed coursework.
