Texas Russian and East European Studies Network (TRESN) Faculty Professionalization Grant

Application Deadline: March 31st, 2017

 

Faculty Professionalization Grants are available for faculty at Title III and Title V post-secondary institutions in the TRESN Network to fund travel to perform professional development activities in Central/Eastern Europe, Russia and the former Soviet Union, and Southeast Europe, or at institutes specializing in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (domestic or foreign).  

Professional development activities can include a range of possibilities: conducting research, attending a training or workshop, international workshops, enrolling in a class or seminar, developing a new course, etc.

Awards range from $500 to $2,000 and are funded by a Department of Education Title VI National Resource Center grant administered by the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREEES) at UT Austin.

TRESN is an informal consortium of institutions of higher education in Texas, which seeks to disseminate information and funding opportunities to faculty and students of Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies. Current TRESN collaborations include the Moscow-Texas Connections Program, as well as Title VI initiatives, such as the TRESN Summer FLAS Fellowship and Faculty Professionalization Grants.
