How to Give

Your investment in the Department of Sociology provides opportunities to students and faculty through planned giving or outright gifts that often carry special tax incentives. These gifts can be made with cash, securities, and other such assets. One-time gifts may also be charged online. To make a gift online, please visit our secure website. You may use American Express, Discover, Master Card, or Visa to make an electronic one-time gift or divide your annual gift into two, four, or 12 monthly payments.

  • "College of Liberal Arts" and "Sociology, Dept of" are pre-filled.
  • Enter the gift amount.
  • Enter any special information about your gift, such as any specific area or program in the Department you would like to support. (For example, "Norval Glenn Prize.")

The Norval Glenn Prize

In recognition of Professor Emeritus Dr. Norval Glenn and to honor his many contributions to the field of family sociology, the Department of Sociology is pleased to announce an effort to raise funds for The Norval Glenn Prize. Funds will be used to award a financial prize to The University of Texas at Austin graduate student with the best paper in the area of family sociology. Awards will be made annually while funds are available. We hope you will consider joining us by making a contribution to this fund.
