At the CGI U COnference in St. Louis, Amanda spoke about the commitment she made at CGUI in 2012: an effort to raise awareness of human trafficking between Houston, TX and New Orleans, LA, the largest hub of human trafficking in the United States. She presented the progress of her project alongside Scot Frank of OneEarth Designs and Clara Chow of Generation Enterprise.
In conjunction with this presentation, Amanda launched her new campaign, "Make Some Noise!", an effort to begin a conversation about abuse and to raise awareness about healthy relationship practices and abuse prevention. The picture below is an image of "Inspiring a Conversation". This particular campaign was picked up by Microsoft on Saturday afternoon as part of Microsoft's Innovate for Good community. The campaign will now be presented at future Microsoft conferences and is in negotiations to receive a grant from Microsoft's corporate giving program.
Finally, while at the conference, Amanda and fellow LAHer Aparna Datta launched their new program "Mock Congress", which is a simulation of the United States Congress and Presidential Administration for university students, very similar in nature to Model UN.
