From four-week Maymesters to year-long exchange programs, your options are virtually endless.
Liberal Arts maymesters are four-week long study abroad programs that give you access to a UT Austin course, taught by a UT Austin professor, in various locations around the globe. Maymesters run from late May to late June and are a simple and accessible way to incorporate study abroad into your education.
Liberal Arts Faculty Led Programs are six- to eight-week summer study abroad programs designed specifically for UT Austin students. Program participants generally take a six-credit combination of a UT Austin and foreign coursework.
The College of Liberal Arts and the UT Study Abroad Office partner with universities and non-profit organization around the world to provide our undergraduate students a diverse portfolio of summer, semester, and full year study abroad programs. Exchange Programs offer Liberal Arts majors the opportunity to enroll directly at a foreign university and Affiliated Studies programs provide a supportive and structured environment for intensive language learning and cultural discovery. An internship abroad can provide a rich, multifaceted experience for both your education and future career. Over 50 programs are offered at UT Austin and many are available in fall, spring or summer. Liberal Arts majors have interned around the world, from London to Singapore, working with parliaments, financial services and economic advisory groups, international think tanks, urban sustainability research institutes, green tech enterprises, social entrepreneurship and non-profits, schools, digital marketing firms, and more. Finding a time to meet with a study abroad coordinator on campus is simple: Coordinators are available to meet with Liberal Arts majors on a walk-in basis on the following dates and times:
Monday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in WEL, main floor
Tuesday, noon - 4 p.m. in SZB, main lobby
Thursday, noon - 4 p.m. in Liberal Arts CLA, by Glickman Conference Center
Friday, 1 - 4 p.m. in Jester, inside Vick Center
