Sanford Biggers works across disciplines and cultures, creating sculpture, video, performance, music, and photographs. Incorporating icons and rites ranging from Japanese mandalas and slave quilts to hip-hop and YouTube music culture, Biggers's work connects the signifiers and patterns that link African spiritualism, Buddhist sacred rituals, and African-American urban culture.

Moon Medicin is an aural and optical experiment conducted by interdisciplinary artist Sanford Biggers. This live work weaves found images and the music of jazz, funk, punk, animation, film noir, and sci-fi with original video art and songs. The result is an evocative music concert that is as much jam session as performative film screening. Begins 8:30P.

General $20, Members $15
