Fri, February 10, 2012

Since C/Col Kamencic has relinquished command over Detachment 825 in last December, C/Col Brandon Stout has taken the reins as the new Wing Commander. In the Change of Command ceremony conducted at the end of every semester, the wing was able to acknowledge the accomplishments of C/Col Kamencic including

  • 98% of the Wing passing Leadership Laboratory
  • 3.06 wing GPA
  • 80% of the wing getting a 93 or better on the Physical Fitness Assessment
  • Placing First in the first events of the President's Cup
  • Establishing the 825 Classic, an annual Drill and Ceremonies competition at the Detachment
  • Achieving our goal of 450,000 Fit-to-Fight points

Since C/Col B. Stout has been in charge, recent accomplishments have been completing Anti-Terrorism Level 1 Training for all cadets and reaching an amazing 25% of the wing Fit-To-Fight goal. We can expect even more this semester with the Detachment 825 Cadet Wing Goals for Spring 2012:

  • 90-3-93 Standard
    • 90% Attendance at LLAB and PT
    • 3.0 term GPA
    • 93 PFA Score
  • Win the President's Cup
  • 100% Objective Completion
  • 500,000 Fit-to-Fight Points
  • Have the highest GPA in the Southwest Region

By taking on this challenge and striving towards our goals, Longhorn Airmen will be Preparing to Succeed in the Profession of Arms. Let's continue to make Det 825 one of the finest detachments in this country.
