Congratulations to UT AMS Faculty Dr. Cary Cordova and Dr. Janet Davis on OAH Book Prizes

Congratulations to two UT AMS faculty members whose resecent publications were awarded prizes at this year's Organization of American Historians conference. Dr. Cary Cordova received the 2018 Lawrence W. Levine Award for The Heart of the Mission: Latino Art and Politics in San Francisco, published the University of Pennsylvannia Press, while Dr. Janet Davis received the 2018 inaugural Presidents’ Book Prize given by the Society of Historians of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era for The Gospel of Kindness: Animal Welfare and the Making of Modern America, published by Oxford University Press.
