John Kerr is a lawyer and novelist who lives in San Antonio. His recent novel Cardigan Bay is set in Ireland and Wales as well as England, and deals with the love affair of an American woman and a British army officer against the background of Irish neutrality and the IRA. An alumnus of Stanford University with a degree in History, and of the University of Texas Law School, John Kerr is President of the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research. He is Chairman of the Admiral Nimitz Foundation in Fredricksburg, and a member of the Advisory Board of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas.
