The Jos Repertory Theatre was founded in 1997 as a not-for-profit independent theatre organization. Engaged in activities ranging from play/poetry readings, productions of formal (scripted) plays and the creation of informal (theatre-for-development) plays, they have also been involved in training programs for artists and amateurs. In addition, they have participated in youth projects on citizenship and civic rights awareness, and have also addressed themes of identity and place in their work.
