Antipodes Launches New Section that Covers Current Events

Antipodes: A Global Journal of Australian/New Zealand Literature is the official publication of the American Association of Australasian Literary Studies. In addition to a focus on literature, the biannual journal also engages topics concerning the arts and humanities in Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand. As Editor, Brenda Machosky, Professor of English and Humanities at the University of Hawai`i West O`ahu, has launched a new section entitled “From All Over -- About Down Under,” that will feature short pieces (1000-1500 words) about events related to Australia or Aotearoa/New Zealand happening anywhere in the world. These events can be first-hand reviews of art exhibits, live performances, conferences, events, lectures, or very short interviews with a current events perspective. Other types of contributions will also be considered. Queries, abstracts or complete works to: antipode@hawaii.eduAntipodes continues to welcome critical essays on any aspect of Australian and Aotearoa/New Zealand literature and culture as well as short fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry written by Australian and Aotearoa/New Zealand authors.
