Cassandre Alvarado, Brian Bremen, Patrick Davis, Jennifer Ebbeler, Sacha Kopp, Gale Stuart: "Assessment Dialogue”

Wed, April 17, 2013 | Main Building (MAI) 212

1:30 PM - 3:45 PM

Assessment is a hot topic in higher education as faculty members and staffers look for effective methods and processes to drive improvement and increase student success. At The University of Texas at Austin, dynamic and creative methods are used across campus, and now is the time to share these assessment efforts with a wide, UT audience.

Faculty members, staffers and students are invited to participate in the UT Austin “Assessment Dialogue” on Wednesday, April 17, to highlight the value and range of assessment knowledge and activities across campus and share innovations. Sponsored by the Office of Institutional Accreditation and Program Assessment (IAPA), along with the Assessment Coordinators’ Network (ACN), the event will include a poster session and an assessment panelist dialogue.

The posters will display assessment practices and projects taking place on campus. Poster participants will be available to discuss the displayed information and answer questions. The panel will include campus assessment experts from different academic, administrative and student support programs. First, they will engage in a moderator-led conversation ranging from the practical (what assessment looks like in their areas) to the aspirational (what they hope to achieve through assessment), followed by a question and answer session.
