CMAS recognizes Dr. Rolando Hinojosa-Smith

The Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Rolando Hinojosa-Smith has been selected as the 2016 recipient of the Américo Paredes Arts and Letters Award.

On April 25, 2016, the Américo Paredes Arts and Letters Award was presented to Dr. Hinojosa-Smith to recognize his role in helping to create the discipline of Mexican American Studies through arts and letters. Dr. Hinojosa-Smith is the 2013 recipient of the National Book Critics Circle's Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2016, the annual conference of the Modern Language Association honored his writing and scholarship with two special sessions. CMAS is delighted to recognize a remarkable and tremendous colleague.
