“Tell’em Who You Are: In Defense of Land and Family” is a documentary film rooted in the journey of a native daughter to the embattled borderlands of South Texas, to recover memory of the Tejano-owned land that will be lost to the Border Wall. The film combines a personal narrative with investigative journalism to connect the current wall construction with an age-old Tejano struggle to defend a unique identity and be seen as truly Texan.

Director Michelle Garcia will discuss the project and show clips from the film, which is currently in development.

The Joe C. Thompson Conference Center is located at the southwest corner of E. Dean Keaton Street and Red River, on the UT Austin campus.
