Spring 2021 Jefferson Scholars Registration Information

A message from Jefferson Center advisor Nathan Vickers, whom you can reach by email here:

For students who are certified as Pursuing the CTI Certificate (aka those who have “done the thing”) we will have space reserved for you in our four required courses in the Jefferson Scholars Program. Remember that in addition to the four areas you need two upper-division CTI courses to complete the certificate.

NB: We will not be reserving space by your EID, so please do not email me asking to hold you a space.  We are only reserving space for students who are certified as Pursuing the CTI Certificate, so here’s the link to the form if you still need to ‘do the thing:’ https://forms.gle/joBddCXz3jPgTwgBA.

Spring 2021 Jefferson Scholars Registration Information

Since the certificate requires 6 hours of upper division coursework, we would like to draw your attention to some upper division options to look at.  CTI seats will be open for you to register yourself into, but any seats in other departments are not controlled by us, and you’d have to reach out to that department for more information on availability.

GOV 355M                               Xenophon and Machiavelli

38675             TTH     11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.      Hybrid/Blended            JES A121A        Pangle, L.

This course will require six completed hours of lower division Government as a prerequisite.

CTI 375                                    The Five Books of Moses

30070             TTH     3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.        Face-to-face                  ETC 2.136         Yoo

This course is also J S 364, MES 342, and R S 361. CTI seats are open for you to register, but I am not sure if the seats in the other departments will be free. Contact those departments for availability if CTI seats are gone.

CTI 355R                                 The Age of Reformation

30040                TTH     11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.     Internet                                          Roberts

This course is HIS 343 and R S 344. CTI seats are open for you to register, but I am not sure if the seats in the other departments will be free. Contact those departments for availability if CTI seats are gone.

Additional options: any other upper division CTI course is perfectly fine, as well as any course on the Spring 2021 qualifying course list. If CTI sections are full, be sure to check the cross-listings in other departments.

Again, we will not be reserving seats by EID, so do please do not email me requesting a reservation.
