 We heard the term 'globalization' repeated over and over. But what exactly does it mean for persons 'on the ground'? Does globalization alter the way we dopolitics, or should it? Does globalization bear implications for the moral life, or should it? Surprisingly, a late antique thinker, living through the demise of the Roman Empire, offers insights about the contexts within which moral identities are forged that bears implications for our world of globalization. What happens when St. Augustine 'goes global'?
