Jefferson Book Club Meeting: Movie Night: "Crimes and Misdemeanors"

Tue, January 22, 2013 | BAT 5.108

6:00 PM

Please join us next Tuesday, January 22, for the first meeting of the Jefferson Book Club, a viewing and discussion of Woody Allen’s Crimes and Misdemeanors

While quite funny, the movie is much more than just a comedy. The main character is someone who is, to all appearances, a respectable family man, but, unbeknownst to those around him, his entire life is founded on a deeply immoral act. The movie offers very serious meditations on human guilt, and the question of whether it is possible to live a respectable life if one has done something truly awful.

The viewing and discussion will take place on January 22, 6pm, in BAT 5.108 and will be led by Government department graduate student Daniel O’Toole. Free pizza will be provided to all who participate. So that we can order enough, please RSVP to by 9 AM on the 22nd
