Jefferson Center Book Club: Movie Night

Thu, September 6, 2018 | BAT 5.108

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

The Jefferson Center Book Club will begin its fall programming with a movie night. Barcelona is director Whit Stillman’s second film.  As with Stillman’s other films, this one paints a striking portrait of young people coming to terms with their education—in this case, some young American professionals living in Barcelona. It also raises interesting questions about American exceptionalism and foreign policy.

We will watch the movie beginning at 5, and have a discussion afterwards with a pizza dinner. So that we know how much to order, please RSVP if you are planning to come by Wednesday, September 5 in the morning.
