Preston McAfee
Vice President and Research Fellow at Yahoo! Research

Preston McAfee, has been chosen as the speaker for the 2012 William H. Arlitt, Jr. Lectureship in Economics.  Dr. McAfee has worked as a consultant for the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, the USA Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and the USA Federal Communications Commission (FCC).   McAfee had served as the Murray S. Johnson Chair in Economics and Department Chairman at the University of Texas at Austin before teaching at the California Institute of Technology.

The William H. Arlitt, Jr. Lectureship was established in 1988 by the family of Mr. William H. Arlitt, Jr. (BBA 1937), to support lectures in economics.
