Economics Welcomes New Assistant Professor

We are pleased to announce our newest faculty member Dr. Natalia Ramondo (U. of Chicago). Natalia Ramondo received a B.A. from Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1997, a M.A. from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in 2000, and a Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Chicago in 2006. From 1997-2000, she served in the Ministry of Economics of Argentina as an advisor to the Bureau of Balance of Payment Statistics, and the Small Business Administration. Her research in international economics focuses on the analysis of the determinants of multinational production across countries, and the effects of foreign firms on a host industry. Her research interests are also related to the determinants of technology diffusion across countries, and its effects on growth and inequality. Starting Fall 2006 she will teach a course on International Trade, and a Graduate Seminar in the field of International Economics.
