Desert Voices: Bedouin women's poetry is subject of scholar's talk

Moneera Al-Ghadeer, chair of the Department of English Literature and Linguistics at Qatar University and honorary visiting professor in global studies at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, studies feminist philosophy, orality and women's writing in Francophone, African-American and Arabic literature. Al-Ghadeer's recent research seeks to investigate and theorize the role of women in Arabic culture in the Gulf region.
