Free and open to the public.  James Kelman Reading and Book Signing on Tuesday, 23 April 2013 at 7 pm in the Prothro Theater, HRC.

On Tuesday, April 23rd, 7:00 p.m. the English Department at the University of Texas at Austin presents the 1994 Booker Prize winning novelist James Kelman (How Late It Was, How Late) reading from his latest novel, Mo Said She Was Quirky, at the Harry Ransom Center’s Prothro Theater.

The reading will be followed by a question and answer session with the author and a book signing in the lobby outside of the Prothro Theater. Light refreshments will be served.

James Kelman is the only Scottish novelist to have been awarded the Booker Prize. His numerous awards include the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for Fiction (1989), the Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Award (1998), and the Saltire Society’s Book of the Year Award for Kieron Smith, Boy (2008).

Copies of Mo Said She Was Quirky can be ordered via BookPeople online here. Please note that the books will be at the April 23rd HRC venue and not at the bookstore. You will be able to pick up your pre-ordered book at the signing table.
