Frederick Luis Aldama Excellence Endowment Awards 2023

“The Frederick Luis Aldama Excellence Endowment” provides 2 awards every spring for the best essay submitted by an undergraduate and graduate student on the topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion as represented in popular culture 

 

• Submit only one essay for consideration 
• Submission should be the original essay graded for a class offered in or cross listed with the Department of English at UT, Austin 
• Essays will be evaluated by UT faculty (graduate essay award) and UT PhD students (undergraduate essay award)
• Awards will be announced at the Latinx Pop Lab’s annual BIPOC Pop Expo & Symposium March 9-11, 2023
