Graduate Student Kristine Kotecki Wins FLAS and ACLS Fellowships

The Department of English congratulates graduate student Kristine Kotecki, who has received the Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship (FLAS) for the 2009-10 academic year (tuition + $15,000), which is meant to promote study of less-commonly-taught languages. The fellowship will allow her to supplement her research with advanced language study in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian.

Kristine has also received a scholarship from the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) for summer study at the University of Pittsburgh.
