Oxford Summer Program still accepting applications for Summer 2007

Mon, January 1, 2007
While living at Brasenose, students take one or two upper-division English classes taught by UT faculty; these courses count as in-residence hours at UT. The 2007 program will meet in Oxford on Saturday, July 7, 2007, and last through Saturday, August 11, corresponding with UT’s second summer session. Although program trips and events are related to the individual courses, all students are allowed and encouraged to attend all program trips. We accept applications on a first-come, first-served basis from all qualified students. The program fee is $6500, which covers accommodations at Brasenose and two meals per day, coach travel, entrance fees and theatre tickets for all program field trips, and a final banquet. Students also pay separately for UT summer tuition and fees, airfare and other independent travel expenses, insurance, personal items, and lunches. The program fee is due in installments, and we have many scholarships available to help students cover the costs. Students can also use loans to help pay for the trip. Please do not be discouraged by the high cost of the program—every year we send several students who thought at first they could not afford it. For applications and scholarship information, please see our website.
