The Department of English Congratulates Meggie Sudderth

Meggie Sudderth is a senior Plan II, Government Honors and English major. She currently serves as president of the Orange Jackets and student chair of the Barbara Jordan Statue Advisory Committee. She is a member of the Senate of College Councils, Mortar Board and Phi Beta Kappa.

She has served as the historian for Texas Spirits and as president of the Plan II Student’s Association. Previously, she served as an orientation advisor and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Meggie has received the Cactus Yearbook Outstanding Student Award, the Edwin G. Styron Scholarship, a Liberal Arts Merit Scholarship, and English and Government Departmental scholarships. In the community, Meggie volunteers for the Settlement Home and the HOSTS mentoring program. After graduation, Meggie plans to work on a presidential campaign and then attend law school.
