EU-US Distinguished Business and Politics Lecture Series

The European Union Center of Excellence and CES have teamed with the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at the McCombs School of Business to offer this annual series of lectures relating to the economic and political relationship between the EU and the US.

The series, whose purpose is to bring attention to our shared economic interests, features presentations from leading business and political figures on topics that will

  • promote student and faculty dialogue on these two important regions and trading partners
  • encourage discussion between the university, the business community and the broader public

Matt Jones is the Head of Marketing Services for the AT&T Williams Formula One racing team.  He is responsible for the strategy and execution of team sponsorships and partnering, matching the assets of Williams F1 to each partner's commercial objectives. Matt's team of 26 employees executes partnering and sponsorship through the functions of Account Management, Event Hospitality, Paddock Hospitality, the Williams F1 Conference Centre and Brand & Licensing.

Prior to joining Williams F1 in November 2005, Matt worked as Sponsorship Manager at Jordan Grand Prix (now Force India) from 2003 to 2005 and as Account Manager at Arrows Grand Prix from 2000 to 2002. His professional introduction to motorsport came via three years as a Sponsorship Manager in the Formula Three series.  Before moving into motorsport, Matt spent six years in the British Army's Royal Anglian Regiment and he saw active service in Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Kosovo.
