International Cooperative Education's program matches you with summer internships or other jobs overseas. You can work for as little as 8 weeks or up to one year. Since 1971, they have helped more than 16,000 participants have the experience of a lifetime.

They currently have openings in: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Tibet, Chile, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Mongolia, Peru, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

ICE offers a wide variety of jobs, including: teaching English as a second language, engineering, office work, summer camp counselor, manual labor, hospitality (hotel), retail, child care, biotech, business, banking, computer programming, sales, marketing, organic farming, social work, accounting, news, food science, and more. Some of these positions include room, board, and a salary, some provide only room and board, and others are volunteer positions.

Some locations require knowledge of the local language, while others do not. Their program will assist you to obtain work permits and visas if they are required. You do not need to be a US citizen to participate, but you do need to have a valid passport.
