Texas GIS Fourm will take place at the Pickle Research Campus from Oct 7-9.  Oct 5-6 will have pre-conference workshops.  Student Registration is only 25 dollars.  Topics will range from GIS use in emergency response, LIDAR, technical demonstrations, and GIS projects.

Dr. Thomas Gillespie, U.C.L.A.

Where is Bin Laden? Just ask Dr. Gillespie. Professor Thomas Gillespie of UCLA and his team, used geographic tracking tools, typically used for locating endangered species, to pinpoint the most probable location of the fugitive terrorist.

Dylan Lorimer, Google

Dylan is a product manager at Google where he oversees product development for Enterprise Earth and Maps. In this role, Dylan sits at the confluence of the consumer cartographer and the enterprise GIS user.
