In the gritty and surreal port city of Brest, Querelle begins to frequent a brothel run by Lysiane, his brother's lover. There he meets Nono, and in the power games that follow, Querelle confronts desires that push the boundaries of social interaction, and challenge the meanings of "normal" sexuality.
