GSA
October 5-6, 2019
Portland, OR

The department was once again very well-represented by our graduate students at this year's GSA.  Four current students gave talks:

Marisol Bayona Roman, "Geological, Historical, and Other Times in Jenny Erpenbeck's Heimsuchung"
Josch Lampe,  "The Marxism(s) of '1968' in West Germany's Literary Magazines"
Sabine Waas, "Debates about Immigration and the Case of Mesut Özi"
Matthias Warmuth, "Viewing Texas-Germans through the Lens of Transnationalism: A New Form of Transmigrant?"

Josch Lampe also moderated a panel called "Marxism Over Time."

Congratulations to Marisol, Josch, Sabine, and Matthias!
