Open to secondary classroom teachers, this group will view and discuss three films--The Blue Kite, Last Train Home, and Coming Home, exploring different “journeys” to reunite with family. The film group will be conducted through three asynchronous online modules, each consisting of film viewing and discussions of the works with colleagues and the course instructor. Participants are responsible for obtaining the three films for viewing and will be provided with a list of online locations for accessing the films through rental, purchase or free viewing in advance of the course start date. Participants may take part in "discussion only" or choose to complete the film group with "full participation for full benefits," which will include a stipend to reimburse for the cost of film purchase. Class limit: 25; registration closes September 8. Details and registration.
