World AIDS Day Conference

The Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice will be sponsoring an event in conjunction with the World AIDS Day initiatives of student groups on the UT campus.

10:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Conference themes include:
- Global Awareness and Advocacy
- GLBTQ Current Concerns about HIV/AIDS
- Women and HIV/AIDS
- Stereotypes, Stigmas, and Shame

Each panel will consist of a UT faculty member, an undergraduate representative of a UT student organization working on issues related to HIV/AIDS awareness, and a local community representative of an HIV/AIDS advocacy group, outreach agency, or health provider.

The conference will be free and open to all who wish to attend. Lunch will be provided. Prof. Neville Hoad (English Dept.) and Prof. James Wilson (History Dept.) are the faculty organizers of the event.
