Dr. Daina Ramey Berry appeared on the TLC program “Who Do You Think You Are?,” last night, in an episode tracing actress Alfre Woodard’s ancestry through Georgia and Louisiana. Ms. Woodard, seeking to find out more about the paternal side of her family, explores how her surname came to be. Previously, in April 2010, Prof. Berry appeared on the season finale of "Who Do You Think You Are?," assisting film director, producer, writer, and actor Spike Lee in tracing his family ancestry.

Dr. Berry wrote that working with the actress was “an honor.” Watch the full episode (Professor Berry's segment begins at 7:33) at www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD4b55AXYM0, and follow Daina on Twitter at twitter.com/lbofflesh.
