No Sanctuary: Big Business and Family Detention (2014) will be screened at the Terrazas Branch of the Austin Public Library on Thursday, November 5, at 7 PM.

 

No Sanctuary, a documnentary short, provides a brief history of family dentention at the T. Don Hutto family detention center, and the grassroots coalition that saw the center closed. Made by Austin-based filmmaker Matthew Gossage, It introduces Sara and her daughter, Nayeli, detained at the Karnes Detention Center.
